How Much Gas Does A 5hp Motor Use
how many mpg does a 5hp get, it seems like not a lot lol
This is a written report Briggs did in the 80's on factory governed engines.
Depends on what it's on, gearing, weight, how it's driven, etc.

did u just steal that from gumpit
did u just steal that from gumpit
not intentionally
I'll add together to the list that no one else said then. Depends on tire inflation and type, clutch/torque converter, condition of engine, how many times y'all get stopped by the police, how many parts your're towing backside yous in a railroad vehicle tied to your mini cycle etc. That better?:laugh:
:
how many times you become stopped by the police,:QUOTE] :express mirth::laugh::express mirth
oh, forgot how many times yous're sprocket falls off. So once I only had 2 of 4 basics loosely property the sprocket on... I was working on the wheel and decided to test information technology, well I never went back to bank check the sprocket. Luckily the bike hub has a big enough part of the tube sticking out to hold the sprocket on... the bolts didn't fall out considering the force pulling at the sprocket. oops
I imagine engine mods tin't exist too expert for mileage either one time you lot go into the serious stuff. Each time you pass up to a bigger jet you're adding more fuel. Which means more gas used "per hour".
I imagine engine mods can't be too good for mileage either once you get into the serious stuff. Each fourth dimension you reject to a bigger jet yous're adding more fuel. Which means more gas used "per hr".
Once again goes to set-up, and how you ride and some mods send mileage upwards a great deal. Stock 8.five:1 pinch ratio compared to say a 10:1 is gonna be less efficient and therefore burn more than fuel. more powerful engines tend to be geared higher then they can relieve fuel that way. you could probly get 100 mpg outta a WF with a tc If you were just toodling(easy riding) round trails.
5horsebriggs, for example on the vt-2 minibronc that employ a 5hp tecumseh. they claim in at that place brochure the bike would get l miles per gallon and the vt-5(trivial bigger cycle) would get 45 miles with a 2 quart gas tank. vt-8 would get around 30 miles to a gallon. i retrieve this would go y'all shut to what you could get for gas mileage..............
5horsebriggs, for example on the vt-2 minibronc that employ a 5hp tecumseh. they claim in there brochure the bike would get 50 miles per gallon and the vt-v(little bigger cycle) would get 45 miles with a ii quart gas tank. vt-8 would get around 30 miles to a gallon. i think this would get y'all close to what you could get for gas mileage..............
Thanks, yea mine has no mods and will be on a mtd 300 and so I should go alot
i like to do a gas mileage on my briggs projection build bike. that affair must get real good gas mileage. i check the gas before the parade at windber and later coming back and the gas level just went down very little. some say it's a 4 mile trip and others say it's a 6 mile trip......
I'm currently doing a gas mileage test with my minibike. I put exactly 1/ii gallon in the tank and I'm riding around town using my mitt held GPS as an odometer. I'k going to ride until I run out of gas, I conduct a modest flask of gas that will get me to the gas station when I run out. And then far I accept put 22 miles on the bike and still have fuel to spare.
As previously stated the load on the motor and how hard its driven will make a big difference, too what is washed to the motor. (Different carb in my case)
